Hey all,

About to pull the trigger on that Bongo, but it seems to not be included in the deal. Tried to argue for it, but either they are out of it, or they can't, both of which has been stated. Which is true? It doesn't matter to me, they aren't giving it up.

SO, where can I get one? What about for most inexpensive price possible? Know of any decent used ones? e*ay is a big goose-egg for Bongo related items like cases.

Oh, and feel free to suggest Bongo specific and NON-Bongo specific cases. I like lots of protection for the traveling times, but casual enough to use for the more frequent gigs in and around the city. I don't want to haul a flight case everywhere, but I also don't want that pretty case being broken in half by those airport gorillas.

Ideas are much welcomed. Thanks!

Bongo cases are standard with new bongos, but it wasn't always that way.

The Bongo you're looking at may be NOS and the store may not be aware that cases are now available.

Thanks all for the news and suggestions. I'm going for the most snug fit possible so I will try out all kinds of stuff, as suggested.

But first, wait...

SO, how do I know I can rightly demand a case with my Bongo? If it was created on a certain date? Or if it was ordered in by GC into their store by a certain date? Show me how to properly demand for my God given right to have a case! ARGHH!!!!

Okay, so yeah, how do I know or prove that they wrongly are not including my Bongo case that is reflected in the increased price they are claiming to be discounting?

*edit - Yes, if they are claiming to be discounting it $X amount from the list price which includes a case, I believe I deserve a case. Or else, they should lower the list price, THEN deduct the discount they are claiming to make. Tell me if I'm wrong here y'all...*

Any help would be appreciated...thanks again!

Not sure there. What retail price are they quoting? What are the specs of the bass?

The other alternative is that they might reduce the list price and the claimed discount.

Good point. And I don't even remember the list price they were claiming. Maybe you can help...

It's a Black Bongo HH 4-string. Nothing fancy. But damn is it cool.

If you have any info, such as what the list price should be with and/or without the case, that would help me out a lot...thanks again!

Argh...

and so it has been spoken.

So I'm also guessing their list prices reflects this non-case-state? I demand a recount! I'm still curious at what the list price is for a Bongo 4 HH with and/or without case. Sorry to beat the issue. I just wanna make sure.

Thank you for your help :D

Yeah! Thanks very much. I'm not gonna have high hopes, but there is no excuse being an uninformed consumer. I really appreciate your help!

Shhh, our secret is safe.

Hey, a really righteous pal o mine, Rockin' Ray Duke, knows every song ever recorded, plus the vocal harmonies, the ultimate working stiff and so on - I went to see him at some pick-up gig the other night and his Lakland wasn't cutting it so he flew home (around the corner) to get his Stingray 5.

And the G tuner fell off! I told him to email you, Jon, even though I know customer service will prolly end up with the email.

But I don't love customer service like I love you, okay?

BTW, he got the tuner back on and it seems tight, but now he's worried that it might fall off in the middle of "Little Wing".
