My 1st MM = Bongo HS .. uh .. pickup query ?!

Hi there,

I've just registered on this forum .. so I'll start by saying 'hello' !

Anyway, just got my 1st MM - Bongo HS ...... nice !!

Had couple of hours on on it (picked it up today actually) .. not usually a massive fan of active elecs but liking this bass so far ... one thing I noticed is .. the single coil (appears) is louder / fuller than humbucker ?!? is this normal ? I wouldn't have thought so .. ? Both similar height, so I'd have thought that it would be the other way round ?! Batteries are ok .. could the HB be wired parallel .. surely not ?

can anyone offer any advice .. most welcome,

thanks

Si

Welcome to the forum!

Can't help with the question though, on my H/S Bongo and Sterling seems like the Humbucker is a little louder than the single coil soloed. No problem though, the blend knob takes care of it.

Have fun here and post pictures of your bass. :D

When I had a Bongo HH I had something similar. I lowered the rear pup a tad (and I mean a tad) and problem was solved (they are that sensitive to height). Could be any number of things. If it disturbs you, I would call customer service. They are, by far, the best in the biz!!!!!!!!!!
