Ok, if I understand everything correctly (which would be a first), the Bongo S pup was redesigned in and around its 2nd-3rd year (when would be 1 question). Not having too much experience with the S could some of you that have worked/played the new and the old S's explain the difference in them (don't need the differences in the S vs the H - already know that - just new S vs old S).
Thanks

First, I don't know what the differences are. It would probably take Dudley to explain such a thing, or maybe Jon or Drew might know?

But I do remember the comment about them being re-designed and I had one of the very early HS Bongos and then a more recent model....but ears are funny things and I have a hard enough time remembering my own phone number, so I'm not to be trusted much on audio recollections, okay?

So I'll shut up and hope one of the experts can chime in.

Bongo HS

I had one made in 2004. So I don't know if it was a re-designed version or not.
But it still sounded great. I did notice the obvious hum from the front coil when it was soloed, there was a trim pot inside the cover that was installed at the factory to dial out the hum to a minimum.
