Hi there,

Recently picked up a battered old bongo which im fairly certain has been messed around with...for instance the batteries seem to be always on as they die after about a week without a lead being plugged in! Im wondering if anyone has a wiring schematic for the bongo (i think its an early one serial F07024) so i can check its wired correct...

Cheers

Hi
There isn't too much to mess around with on the Bongo? It's all printed on the circuit boards:)
But anyway, the pick up connections are done black wires to the soldering points marked "B", and the white to the "W" points, NPU means neck and BPU means bridge pick up. The output wires are are marked TRS for tip, ring and sleeve. The battery wire points are marked R and B for red and black wires respectively. That's it, the rest is totally impossible to fix for us ordinary knuckle heads:)
