hey, so i just bought the flagship bongo last week. Its the midnight blue dual humbucker piezo loaded model. So what if i had to put up with a few Guitar Center assholes. Anyhoo,, my bass was a display model and i've noticed that the pickguard and the knobs are slightly worn, and i was wondering if anyone on here knows where to get some new ones? The bass is a monster and i can't wait to get everything dialed in a thumpin'. The other thing is i live in San Francisco CA, San Louis Abisbo where the Musicman factory is is only a couple hours from me. Can i just drive down there and get um'? I wonder if there's a tour..... thanks for any info guys

hey dude ... welcome to the forum.

real quick ... can you edit your post and take the price out? posting prices you pay for new gear is kindof a no-no here ... sorry thats the rules. (posting used gear prices is ok tho)

OK NOW ON TO COOL STUFF:
Grab EB's support phone number off this link: http://www.ernieball.com/site/contact.php
call them up and they should be able to sell ya a pickguard and some other misc. parts. theyll just ship it to you.

as far as a factory tour ... well we're ALL (well, maybe not all of us) going on a factory tour on sep. 16-17. free food, free tour, free concert, free booze (milk for thsoe under 21) ... you just gotta get there and get a hotel room. Its the kik ass EB open house and Sterling Ball has invited us all .. including you sir. more info at:

sorry fellas i didn't know about the $$$ thing. Won't happen again. Thanks for the info about parts, mine are just fine but you know how it is when you get something new. It has to be perfect for at least a little while. PS any Bongo players out there have any good recommendations for gig bags tobuy. i have an ok one at the moment but i'd like one with more dense foam and better compartments, i have to fly next month.

ive never flown with a guitar but from what ive read it can suck ... use the search function and youll find some info ... also the topic's been covered in the guitar forum too.

sounds like a flight case is the best thing to get
hardshell case might be a runner up as an option
gig bag would probably mean your bass will break in 1/2 (unless u can get it on as a carry on)
