A picture of me with the Tyler Dow Bryant band opening for Paul Simon/Edie Brickell/New Bohemians in Dallas recently. Note Bongo. Do not note shoes.

Wearing boots is like walking on jagged rocks for my flat feet. However, it turns my wife on when I do; so sometimes I just have to suck it up and wear them if I want attention. Ahem.

Thanks for the shirt kudos, Chuck! Those Nat Nast are awfully cool and comfortable. I wish I could afford more of them!

The rest of the band is in the dark. No spotlights at this venue. Drummer was waaaaay off to stage right. We just about had to set up in the front row of the audience so as not to disrupt the New Bohemians' gear. They were actually very nice people. All of them. Brad Houser is a cool dude and one heck of a bass player as well. If you haven't gotten a chance to check out Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians live, it's worth every penny (and this from a die-hard Rush fan.)

Paul Simon was, expectedly, incredible.

I love Edie Brickell & New Bohemians.. Robbie Blount did some guest spots on the first album, I think.. a tune called "Now".

Brad Houser was the bass player for the New Bohemians, and very talented as well. He also plays Bari Sax. Paul Simon was backed up by New Bohemians for a few songs, then did a couple by himself playing an acoustic guitar. Phenomenal!
