Bongo Pickup question

That's exactly the way I play mine. The pickup and EQ knobs all in the center detent.

That's what's so cool about the Bongo. You don't have to use up any adjustment range to get to a basic electric bass tone. On some other ax where you often have to use up +/- 80% [or more] on each dial just to get a foundation sound, you're already painted into a corner before you start. On a Bongo, you not only get 4 channels available, but the whole use of each channel if a tune calls for something different.
