Well, I've received email which seems to indicate my 5 string Bongo has left Florida and is headed this way......so new in the system that I can't get an ETA yet but will update.

Derek - thanks for the info and the help. Also big kudos to Bass Central for being there!

ETA is Monday, November 10th.

Did you speak to Gard at Bass Central?? I was under the impression that mine was not the only one coming in, although I could be wrong.....wouldn't that be something?

Hey Derek, you reading this? How many Bongo Fivers have shipped? I mean, not numbers, but a lot? Not many? A handful?

I should pose this question in another thread just in case.

Great colour and I like the pick guard
I spoke to a guy called perry from Bass Central

Also Derek what are the controls for the Bongo I noticed on Jacks it has four Pots I thought the dual MM pick ups had Vol. Bass, Treble, High Mids and Low Mids that makes 5 controls am I Mistaken??

I played the Bongo 4 at the local Guitar Center, there's a volume and bass and treble for each pickup. The tone controls are stacked, treble on top, bass on the bottom. The Bongo has a very powerful sound and lots of tones, but I opted for a new SR4...for now. :D :D
