Usually, the kids don't get to be a part of my musical life because I play bars and they are still slightly too young to be in bars.

Tonight we did a nice little gig at a steak restaurant/bar and the kids could be in there. Owen, almost but not quite 3 years old, was bouncing in his seat and clapping and seeing a side of "Daddy" that he only suspected could exist.

So this was when they were leaving and I had to come down and say bye, didn't I?

Also, the Candy Red Bongo (single H, of course) was just KILLING it.

Ohh yeah, ...kids just love to see how daddy play bass in live environment, ...I know that, it was the same when my kids were that age! ;)

Nice pics Jack! :)

...and yes, ...Your epic Candy Red single H Bongo 5 is now real family bass, ...almost Ball Family Reserve! :D

My kids have had the chance to see me when we've played outdoor gigs, it's always fun.

Pretty cool, Jack.

I remember when my youngest was about three.
The first gig she went to was an outdoor restaurant grand opening.
She looked back and forth between us playing and the sound coming out of the speakers.
It took a few seconds before she realized we were playing the music but when she did she started dancing away.
Memories.

My kids are teenagers who'd rather look at their text messages than watch their old man play. Great picture Jack. Your bass seems to be riding lower off the shoulder these days. Whats up with that?
