i took Sharon's desert gold V Bongo w/ me on a studio project a few days ago to do a track that needed some low c notes. they ended up having me redo all 5 tracks cuase the tone was so fat ! blew the owner away......:D
i imagine the owner will be promply hanging one in the control room & storing the certain very valueable & collectable previous mainstay away.

:D That's sayin' somethin'! Haven't had the opportunity to record with my Bongo other than board tapes but it really cuts through the mix there too.

into an avalon compressor.....then into the board.

It really is pretty effortless getting a great recorded sound out of a Bongo, isn't it? I just used my new 4HH for the first time on a track and found that the sound coming right off the bass was just about mix-ready as-is. I've never used a bass that was so easy to record.

.....hee, hee! I knew it would be awesome - I've used my 4HH to record before myself - just set the EQ flat, and let her go........

....and watch the engineer's eyes pop!:D

Glad you had fun with my 5er, Tommy!
