I purchased a 4 string Bongo today at GC. Lava Pearl, perferred black but in a 4 string the wait 3-5 months. I haven't play a gig with it yet. I love the fat tone, 24 frets and unique shape. Some A-hole said that sure is a ugly bass (fug em) I have a SR5 W/ piezo brigde just stanky, but this one is really something either like or don't this ax rocks . You owe to yourself to take a serious look, feel and play the S$%t out of it.:p

I have the Bongo fiver, but how does the four string model feel?

More like a Stingray or a Sterling?

I'm asking because my Bongo four string should be here in...three days.

heh heh

I think more like a stingray, But I,m positive it will take on it's own style and feel. I have a SR5 and feel the Bongo is it's own model. Everytime I pick it up there's someting new. Been a long time since I bought and ax that at first look I wanted it not because someone I dig plays one. Give it some time Bassist will get use to the look and try it seriously and love it.

There's one thing I don't understand is for the cost no case, that sucks

I've got Bongo fever!

I ordered a 4-String dual humbucker Bongo w/ piezo from Bass Central last week. It's graphite pearl with a black ice pickguard. It's supposed to be here in late February. The wait is already killing me!

I fell in love with the Bongo immediately as well. It was an Egyptian smoke 4-String single humbucker. It was super cheap, too... just $1100. I figured I would regret getting it instead of my "dream Bongo", though.
