Pulled the trigger on the Blue Pearl Axis that was on ebay the past few days.
THe pics on the auction aren't the best and I tried searching a lot for Blue Pearl...Saw a lot of Carbon Blue Pearl in my searches, but not a lot of Blue Pearl.
I first saw the color on a recent FS/FT thread on TGP of a ASS and thought it was pretty wild, but not my thing. Wasn't even sure from those pics what it was. It really grew on me though. Royal blue is actually my favorite color and I had a translucent royal blue Fender Strat back in the 90s. I normally gravitate towards vintage type finishes and bursts and wasn't into sparkle finishes on guitars.
I had a burnt apple Axis a few years ago that I didn't like at first and that thing really grew on me too. I know the Blue Pearl is not considered a Sparkle finish, but it does have some sparkle in it.
Anyway it grew on me a lot and I think it will be a cool different look (and feel) to my LPs.
I will post some pics in a few days when I get it and can get some good shots.
