Was in a Sam Ash music store in MAdison Tn. The other day. Was looking for a decent guitar to take on the road. I stumbled upon two Axis Super Sports....they were blowing them out for 529. each!!!! So I knew right away that was a great deal....apparently they are not gonna carry music man or something. The guitars were not well taken care of in the store, badly in need of new strings and a setup. So I bought one and took it home. After putting on new strings and tweaking the action a bit, I realized what a great guitar this was. I ended up having to do some fenageling to get the second one but I got it and am now the proud owner of two of these guitars. Again the price I paid was insane. I had previously owned a EVH signature MM but I dig the super sport way more...the 5 way is cool and the sustain seems to be much better without the floyd. I've since retired my Tom Anderson and all my other custom axes and will be seen playing my Music Man's this coming year with Gary Lewis and the Playboys! Thanks music man for making such a great and versatile axe!

Have not figured out the pic thing yet. Sent one of them in for a complete setup and a bone nut. So I only have one at the moment. Did not want to make you guys jealous but the price was insane.

Yeah, that kills me!

What colours did you get? Did they have other EBMMs in stock that they were letting go? (Feeling ... bank account ... shrinking ...)

I got a red flame top and a red quilt top. The red quilt had to be shipped up from a sam ash in florida....rumored that the florida store had one more as well. The red quilt from Florida had a couple dime sized dings on the back and the neck needed adjusting. I think after my tech gets done with it, it will rock.

I was born and raised in Madison TN. That's where they make George L cables too. I probably know you but I just don't know it. Does Barbara still do Tuesdays at the Blowbird?

I love my TA. I'll always dig their guitars. Mine was beat to heck and frankly falling apart. Could not afford to buy another one at the time. I needed to get a quality guitar to take on the road. STumbled upon the Super SPort and now I'm sold. In my opinion it is the perfect guitar to take on the road....I mean even the size makes it easier to fit in the overhead compartment of airplanes. IT has it's own sound but is versatile enough to cover alot of territory. ;)

I wouldn't mind owning a TA myself "a simple one" but trying to find one at a reasonable price is difficult.
If I came across a simple T-style I would consider it but I am not gassing like I do for the axis's'/axi.In fact I need a LP scale, glued in necked gutar first.
I don't think it can get any better than the axis super sport for me.

Donut git no better an niss---for those of us that understand Fuzzy ;)
