That's some great stuff you're playing on that Classic, BP. I really like how you incorporate plucks (using the middle finger, looks like) in a way that's "de-coupled" from the thumb. A lot of people seem to think a pop can only come after a slap & has to be the octave, etc... it's a very cool style thing using it melodically the way you do. I've noticed that before. That tone is killer too.

It's always nice to see BP jammin' - he's very good. I bet he'd be gigging if he wasn't so busy with his darn day gig.

I really like BP's playing. I have yet to see any Big Al in person; yet I am GASing for a Big Al 5 single H. Thanks to this forum I know beyond a shadow of a doubt exactly what I want. Thanks, forum. :D

Love how it sounds on the high registers. Thats what got me on Stingrays. They dont turn to cheez above the 12th fret. love that white classic.

Ha ha ha!!! Good fun! BP must love me since he come to think of me during a hectic day at the music fair. ;) I´ve never tried a BigAl yet. Would love to. Havn´t seen one in Sweden yet. That is a Sterling Silver finish, eh? Looks great. I would LOVE a inca silver Stingray classic with matching headstock and a maple fretboard. Much nostalgia there (exept for the matching headstock but that just looks soo great!). I had a -76 inca silver Ray but it got stolen some 10 years ago. Correct me if I´m wrong now but the inca silver finish came back once if I don´t recall things wrong. I seem to remember that the 100th Anni NAMM Rays were inca silver but I can be wrong. Love silver. :)

Thanks.

Damn, ...how good sounds this simple Classic 2 band EQ SR!

It looks that my whole theory about multi band EQ fall in the water! :p

I'm seriously considering now back to the roots, ...good wood work, good single H, simple EQ, ...and of course, it's all in fingers! :)

BP, You are killing me (softly)! :D

You are correct about the anniversary NAMM model - it was inca silver.

Thank you. Lovely color. Now do I have to wait until 2016 and a 40th Anniversary classic Ray before that color will be back? Would be the ultimate anniversary model. Or 2026 perhaps. 50th Anniversary! I´ll be 56 y o by then..... Could work. I´ll have plenty of playing in me still, I hope.... :)

Sterling silver is an amazing color. I get compliments every night that I take my sterling silver Bongo 5 HH.
