Brand new Valentine BFR Carmelo. Microphonic bridge pickup

I just received my brand-new music man Valentine Carmelo last week. Unfortunately it was delivered with two cracks in the neck pocket on either side but I am dealing with UPS about that. My main issue is that the bridge pick up is extremely microphonic. Neck pick up is perfect and the bridge pick up sounds great but anytime I kick in the game it starts squealing. Thoughts?

If it's brand new then it's under warranty. The squealing may be an issue but it's hard to know. I'd contact MM customer support and discuss with them. (Link in my signature.)

Sorry to hear of your bad luck with this one. Such a stunning guitar. I've been close to pulling the trigger on this.

Nothing yet on the finish cracks. Music man has reached out to me about the Microphonic pickup. Waiting to see what they propose

Sometimes the pickup needs to be re-dipped in wax.
