Hi everybody,
My JP has been breaking the A sting ((mostly) sometimes the D string) lately, have
you JP owners been having this problem too? And if so any suggestions...
btw, I´m not aggressive player
thanks
Also check how the saddle is seated. I had a guitar that I broke strings daily on. It drove me nuts until I saw that the culprit saddle was sitting slightly out of line. That's all it took to kill strings.
My JP7 had insane issues with the A string breaking at the bridge! It only started happening after the tech at the local music shop changed the piezo saddle for the A string, so, I assumed it was something he did wrong during reassembly. I loved the tone too much to do anything about it though. I just put up with the inconvenience, partly out of laziness, partly out of thinking to myself "what will they screw up if I take it in for repair?"
never had a problem, until I put a tremol-no on, broke 2 strings at band practice a couple weeks ago, before that it had been literally years sine I broke a string...hmmm...could jsut be co-incidence and a bad pack of strings?
I had a problem with breaking D strings on my Silhouette Special. I even returned it to the factory and no fault was found. I tried different gauge strings, different brands and even installed Graphtech 'String Saver' saddles. None helped. Changing from a 1mm to a 0.7mm pick did help a little bit. However, I recently started using 'Big Bend's Nut Sauce' on the nut and saddles and haven't broken a string yet. So far so good.

The Tremel-No shouldn't cause that problem. Maybe something shifted during installation causing the alignment to be off? Either that or I'd vote as it a coincidence.
