Just got back from the Brian Setzer Orchestra's Christmas Extravaganza show here in Detroit. Good stuff. Heck of a lot of fun.

Woot!! I'm going to see him on the 16th .. 2nd year in a row. I love Brian Setzer. He (and the band) put on an amazing show. Rockabilly aint dead in my book
How sick is his bass player!! Ggeeeeyaaah

Didn't you just want to jump out in the aisle and start swinging? Did you know that one of the girl back up singers (red head) is his wife?? He has a house out here and has been spotted several times in the local grocery store. Gotta apreciatte the skill and talent by every member.

Brian Setzer is a monster player...just awesome stuff. He gets played in my car quite frequently.

Jodizzle you are so right...rockabilly is far from dead...especially in Setzers hands.

His version if Sleepwalk is a personal favorite of mine.

Yeah. Definitely music that induces a certain amount of booty shaking. If I had any clue about swingin' I might have been doing it. :o

Last year he opened with the James Bond theme and went into "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch"
Brasco: I'm a sucker for 50's appreciation .. glad you feel the same way.

Dig that crazy Santa Claus!!

I was also at the Detroit show... absolutely killer. Whilst I wasn't swingin' out (can't dance), there were plenty of people in front of us who were... some even dressed in 50ish clothes. I haven't been to a concert like that since seeing the beach party that is Jimmy Buffet.
