I recently pulled out my 8 early EBMMs from my collection and noticed the bridge on my pink one. The guitar's action is fine and lower than spec, intonation is right on,no buzzing, fretting out etc. Its just compared side by side with with others made the same year, its obvious it sits very high. I have not taken the neck off and looked for shims but eyeballing it the relief is the same as the others. Once tuned and locked down I can get rough with it and it always stays in tune. Again about the same as the others. Also the guitar actually plays and sounds better than the others. Maybe its the pink's mojo?
So bottom line is this a "if it ain't broke don"t fix it" and just a eyesore or is it something that needs to be addressed?
Thanks for any replies.

i would say if it plays ok and sounds ok then dont worry about it.. like you said no buzz or fretting out.. so i would leave it alone, sometimes i have mess with things that are working perfect thinking i can make it better and i end up making things worse...LOL

Exactly. Especially with FR setups. I am trying to stay on top of all of my guitars and that one thing just jumped out at me. Well its a unique guitar so why wouldn't it be like all the rest. Thanks
