Circa 1980 Pre-EB Bass that's been in storage. Protective plastic is still on the pickguard.

But the bridge is powder coated in matt milatary green. There is no chrome underneath the powder coat.

Any ideas?

Is the pickguard original? (Is there any way of telling?)

I have vague memories of seeing pictures of those bridges.I can't be any more specific right now though.

......I think I might have seen the pictures in Bass Plafer years ago.

This bass is slowely turning stealth. In ten years the poles of the pu's will look like the bridge and the half of the body will be black...

Speaking about polepiece corrosion, that bass has been played a fair bit, judging by the pattern of corrosion on the upper left polepiece. I find it extremely odd that the pickguard would still have the plastic covering on it.
