I work for a EB/MM dealer and was anxiously awaiting for NAMM and a new color chart for 2003. I am a Silhouette player, but want to get one with a piezo bridge. I was holding out for Honeyburst (the sunburst without the black).

I was very disappointed when we got the new spec sheets to find that Honeyburst still wasn't being offered. We called our sales rep and asked him to find out if they couldn't make this guitar for me, but I'm sure we all know that EB/MM sticks to a hardline of no special finishes. The rep promised me he'd ask, but the answer came back "no."

Anybody else dig the Honeyburst finish and want to see it offered again on certain models? Am I just crazy?

Please bring back this finish and the Silhouette family of guitars!

Thanks...

Yes! I have what you call honeyburst on a Sterling, beautiful! Bring back this colour on Silhouettes as well as trans. teal, please. Wouldn't mind owning a gold or copper coloured Sil either.

Silos are made from alder, which doesn't look very good with trans finishes.

Thanks,
Greg

Well it's a matter of subjective opinion then. It looks good to me, and at least one other on this board. So that's two to one, Greg. :D I jes finished an alder tele body in two tone sunburst and it is GORGEOUS. 'Course it took extra effort to find alder grains that looked pleasing......
