I don’t know about fixing the chip, but I do know about fights with brothers. Back in the day (shows my age) I watched two of my brothers fighting, it went out into the yard and then to the cars. One of my brothers had a four wheel drive and backed up to my other brother’s bug, he was going to spin the tires and shoot mud on the bug. He thought he had put it in drive, but when he gave it the gas he rammed the bug. The bug brother grabbed the door of the four wheel drive as brother one tried to make his escape and he bent the door completely backwards. Priceless.

Someday you and your brother wil laugh over this, if you don't kill him first.

Brothers!

First of all let me just say DAYUM!!! Ok now, is the chip in the paint or actualy chiped out of the wood?
Where is the chip located?
Is it really a big chip or just bigger than you would like?

All dings, chips, cracks and even breaks can be worked out by a good luthier. But if it is minor you may want to attempt the repair your self.

Here are a few sites that may help you out.

http://www.frets.com/FRETSPages/pagelist.html
http://www.fretnotguitarrepair.com
or go to www.epifriends.net and check out the guitar mod and repair threads.

Thats all the help I can give until you tell me more about the actual damage.
I wouldn't kill my brother if I were you but I would take somthing he holds dear and hold it for ransom for the repair money. :D

If you don't have any experience in wood finishing, then I would have a pro fix it. If you do have experience in working with wood then find out what type of paint was used on your guitar from customer service then match the color and type of paint. Use wood filler if needed. Hit it with paint. Clear coat and finish sand as needed. You will still be able to tell its a repair but it is on the back and not that large by the sounds of it. A pro can make a repair almost invisable but it aint easy.

Hope this helps
Zac
