Hey there fellow forumites!

I've been around this forum for about half a year, finally it's time for me to "come out" with my first thread.

I'm the lucky owner of a AL 2007 LE...totally awesome machine. Recently I started to look around for a new pickguard to upgrade from the stock black one. So many choices...I'd love to hear (or read, that is) your opinion on which guard will look the nicest with the blue dawn finish.

Cheers,
Patrick.

Welcome Patrick...Blue Dawn is a great choice. Personally I think the white pearloid pickguard looks great with BD...I'm sure Foggy can help out with more pictures but here's one owned by a forum member

Mine is black which I really like, but the white pearloid looks awesome too. I should get one so I can do an A-B comparison.

Here is mine. ;)

Thanks for your input so far!
Would never have thought an abalone guard matches the bd, but that's just awesome. But I guess white pearl should do the trick (I'd then change the PU caps and knobs to white as well).

Here ya go. I knew I'd seen it somewhere. Not an AL (obviously) but you'll get the picture.....a great combination IMHO

I think this is Norms #1 guitar.
Abalone pickguard REALLY looks good with blue (bue) Dawn.
Of course, I play a Luke (2 of 'em blue dawn) and no pickguard on those babies.

Personally - If it were me, I think anything but basic black or white looks to darn busy on the BlueDawns. The Blue Dawn color doesn't need a detractor.

YMMV
