I'm gonna go uot on a limb here and guess the build date for this model is either 11/03 or 12/03. This depends on how much the guys at the store wanted to play it before they gave it to you. What features did you get?, Color? Pics?

take the neck off..& the neck date should be on the bottom. the body / electronics date will probably be on a sticker on the back of yer tone pot.......
The date on the neck indicates when it was in the wood shop or in sanding(the next step after wood shop. The date on the pot indicates when the drop in was assembled and really is not a good way to get the date the guitar was built as it could sit on a shelf until needed...I hope this makes sense...Jon
