Hi there - I thought I could use some help from you guys. I just got home from a jam at a friends, and when I got home, I realized that the pocket on my gigbag where I keep my Axis' floyd rose trem arm, was open, and the trem arm wasn't to be found.

So - where do I get a new one? I would prefer to get a standard kind (If such a thing fits) because I gig this guitar all the time, and would like to have one before the weekend.

Should be able to detach the old trem arm collar, and replace it with this one. You may need a socket wrench to remove the old one. (don't remember what size nut that collar uses). The screw in collar looks like it attaches with an Allen wrench.

and definitely don't feel bad about losing a trem arm - heck, a guy down in Florida lost a while EVH in the ocean.
And Michael Bloomfield walked off and left his favorite Les Paul in a bar in Vancouver. He never did recover it.

Wow - I can't imagine leaving one of my instruments behind - I always carry them myself, and don't leave them in the car with the backline.

Anyway, I went to one of the techs in my town (I actually work as a tech in a guitarstore, but I did'nt have one lying around) to get a Schaller trem arm with the threaded collar. We disassembled the floyd collar, and guess what? Just as I suspected, it didn't fit. It could fit in the hole, but with the holde being sort of a middle ground between square and round, it wasn't a perfect fit, which is bound to cause problems with such a high performance system as a floyd rose, so we put back the original collar. Fortunately, back in my own workshop, I found a perfect replacement arm for the original collar. :)
