Is it possible to get a burst color on a Bongo? I wouldn't mind paying extra D:

At the moment, there are no bursts for the Bongos at any price. The LE Blue Dawn finish was a sort of burst, so it could happen again......

The reason for this is that as a rule burst finishes are transparent. The Bongo is made of basswood, which doesn't look good with trans finishes.

The one in Classic Burst is a one-off that has a mahogany body.

I have an 07 LE with the aforementioned Blue Dawn finish and it's lovely.

One thing you should know is that because of the Bongo's curves, it often looks like it's got a burst or two-tone finish anyway. This is more prominent on certain colors than others, such as Desert Gold and the DDII finish, whatever that's called.

Notice how it looks like two different shades of orange, or even orange and yellow, in this photo.... (yes I did once have hair)

If I had it I'd have another Bongo... :)

Seriously though I hate that he might have to sell it but if he does it would be great for it to go to a Knucklehead.
