hey guys,

few months ago (Febr 2014) I've bought a Sterling JP70 from Butler Music which arrived damaged to Romania...I've posted some pics back then and asked you about ebay claims etc, advice.
butlermusic on eBay
Butler Music - Custom Us

Well the seller said I will get a full refund, but advised me not to send the guitar back right away for a full refund because the insurance company will close the claim if I send it back - they will consider is not fully damaged as they claimed and will not give the money

Well keeping this story short...after 5 months now , and no replies from butler music , I check on the insurance company's site and for this claim it says:
"7/1/2014
Status: Expired
Notes: Claim closed due to non-response / lack of interest from the insured."

as a conclusion, just be very careful when buying online , especially if you are outside US...

That is indeed the moral of the story.

These are difficult threads to moderate. Usually there is only one side of the story and when we do hear both sides it turns into a slagging match (which is never pretty). How do we balance forum members right to the telling their experience vs a company forum where anybody could sign up and start slagging off dealers? (Not suggesting this of PaoloGilberto, but others have done n the past and may do in the future, we don't want to set precedents).

PaoloGilberto has had his say, and as there is really nothing else to add to that I'm gonna close this thread.

Thanks Paolo, sorry you had such a bad experience.
