Wow... I just hung up with a local dealer re: Buttercreme availability in a Bongo and a Sterling. :D

BTW - I hear corresponding the case is also a beauty! ;)

The case is indeed about the sexiest case I've ever seen:

I have to say--I'm more jealous about not having one of those cases for Moby than I am about not having a Buttercreme Bongo.

ButterCreme Sterling

. Is the headstock a matching "ButterCreme" color? Can't tell by the pic angle. Sure looks nice. Seriously thinking about ordering one. I'd really like if it had an "Ebony" fretboard. But, MM says they can't build me one with ebony. I'd order one today if Ebony board was available.

big knobs

does anyone else think that the knobs on mm basses look very big without the SR4 control plate? I been wanting to replace the silver knobs on my SR5 with smaller white ones ever since I got it.

I also think the black dot inlays on the maple fretboards look rather big as well.

Okay end of complaints, that's about all I could come up with, I love everything else.

The first pic is more "butter" than "creme" (it's really hard to "translate" the real color on a pic, and the computer make it always darker ; I tried many times with my carbon blue pearl, but nevr could be satisfied of the result).

At the begining, I found BC a bit to classical, but I love it more and more. A fretless Sterling in BC would be killer !

Just to clarify for everyone's sake:

There's only one pic of the BC Sterling in this thread. The one with no case in the picture.

The pic of the bass w/case is a BC Stringray that Jack posted so that you can see the awesome case that all of the limited edition BC instruments include.

With the enthusiasts on this site, I'm sure this mention was not necessary. I mention it only in the unlikely event that somewhere, someone has taught a drummer to read, and they stumbled upon this thread. ;)
