Everyone was really helpful recommending a refinisher for my damaged Stingray 5 FL body. But dang, this is looking incredibly expensive!

Does anybody know if it's possible to purchase a prefinished Stingray body from EBMM?

I don't think that is possible, you'd have to buy a new bass :)

how bad can it be, does it still play ok? mine is beat to a snot and i love it, charactor charactor. every mark , dent, scratch tells a story. i think it's a waste of money getting refinished or replacing the body unless a big chunk like a horn got tore off. just a thought.

Play this one and buy another to look at but not play. The first scratch hurts but you get over it. If you refinish or swap bodies it won't be the same bass. I have never owned an instrument that didn't show some wear. Some of the best ones have had the most scratches.

Do you have a picture of the damaged bass you can post? Marty Bell will do a refin for $280, which seems reasonable, but that depends on your budget of course.
