Hi, I just saw a selection of MM's on Ebay and the stores on there say no international orders, international address's for warranties will not be honoured, is this true just for this store or for everywhere?
I have seen a shop that will ship to England and they have what i want in stock. would i forfeit a warranty from them/MM?
The £ is really strong to the $ at the mo and its really tempting.
Has anyone over here ordered from over there?

cheers
david

I have only ever bought used from the USA, via Ebay, and had it shipped here. It cost , including taxes and shipping, about a 1/3 the cost of a new one. US dealers are prohibited from selling overseas to the UK.

OK here goes the monthly dicussion of the all powerful Ernie Ball ripping off the poor Europeans.

This has been covered so many times but most imported products are more expensive. It costs money to have distribution, marketing, advertising, artist relations, warranty repair, cost of inventory held, risk of recievables, etc. If someone can show me a distribution model that can make all of those things happen and the price not change, let me know and then I will get you the job heading he world bank.

Hi David

Whilst US dealers can't sell us Brits new guitars, they are able to sell used guitars internationally.

Also, many of the US forum members here are happy to ship used guitars over the Atlantic as well. If you hang around and make yourself familiar I'm sure someone will help you out.

Have a look at the guitars for sale thread as well. Lots of good stuff lurking in there.

Machinehead in Hitchin also keeps a good stock of Music Man, some of them used.

What are you looking for?

I got my Silo from a shop in Derbyshire called Guitars4you - specialist in fine new and used classic guitars

They have quite a large stock of MM guitars (a steve morese, couple of silo specials, couple of axis SS and normal axis)

I think i had the last standard Silo, there might be a black one though but i can't remember exactly what was in the shop.

He hasn't took my Silo off the website yet.

yes sir! I wasnt picking on Dave either just responding to the Apple ripping off comparison/
Hey No Prob BP, as mentioned we do like a moan over here, To single Apple out was just as example, I remember doing a conversion on the price of Marshall in the Guitar buyers guide a few years ago and finding some models were cheaper in the US! ?? Probably not so these days.
Dont get me wrong your guitars are defo worth the price , i;m just impatient and the thought of being able to flog my other guitars and get an EB quicker (ie cheaper) was just super tempting! I want to be in the gang!
