hello again, I'm building up my pedalboard and currently searching for wah pedal... I've checked many youtube videos and read many harmonycentral reviews but still I have no clue whitch would suit me best..

my gear is fairly simple, but i love my tone and I don't want to compromise it by noisy or tone coloring(when off) wah:
-JP 6
-ENGL powerball with NOVA delay in the loop
that's it

Second thing si that I play in two bands, first is kind of old school metal and second is pop-rock... that means I need wah which is good at handling overdriven signal and is also good for some clean funky stuff.

So far my eyes are upon Ernie ball, morley bad horsie ( I or II ???) and not interested in Dunlop wahs :p

let me make it short, preferences are:
- true bypass
-large sweep
-great with overdriven signal (there's hope by marco sfogli comes to mind)

also if anyone could made some clips soloing with high gain with ernie ball or morley I'd be very grateful.

Thanx and excuse me for bad english:cool:

Hi there.

I have a Morley Tremonti Power Wah, and it likes high gain.

Typical well built Morley optical wah, but has a lovely little boost dial for cutting through on solo work.

Great pedal, well worth trying out if you get the chance in a local store.

I suck, but it rocks.

Well, as You are a sith Lord, you can only go Morley, since it's black and red:)))))))

Honestly, though, it's a stunning wah for overdriven things, and it's good for the clean ones as well. The EB Wah to me sounds especially great on cleans, but I would like a more aggressive range for the high gain sounds.

The E.B. Wah changed my rig forever. I'll never go back. I'm not sure there's a wah with a bigger, better, or badder sweep on the market. I strongly recommend trying it.

A.J. is a smart man ... the EB Wah is pretty damn slick. I sold my Budda Wah for it and I won't be going back.

12 degrees of motion on the EB as opposed to the 10 on a CryBaby (which I use, and love I might add, 535Q)

I wanna try out a Bad Horsie 2 just because of the auto-return springiness.

I used a Bad Horsie in the short solo section of our tune 'Bad Boy' with a high gain setting and in conjunction with trem warbling. The link to our myspace page is in my signature.
Just a personal view but I really like the wah tone that Doug Aldridge gets in the latest whitesnake offering 'Good to be Bad'... he uses a Dunlop Custom Shop rack mount wah... tempting... but hey this is an EB forum so try out their units, the other guys in this thread certainly love them.
Good luck and happy spending :)

From a technical point of view the wha is great too.
I had a look inside and the inductor is isolated (no noise!) and everything is perfectly designed for years of wha without problems.

Well I have two modified Dunlops and a Vox, but I´ve changed for the better.
Take a guess.

Buy it.
