Cable Talk

So, what kind of calbes do u all use, i'm curious, because i hear real extremes with every cable out there. I hear the good the bad the better and the worst. It['s not like i could try them for an extended amount of time, because they don't do that. SO, who likes what, and what isn't good, pleae enlighten me, cuz i don wanna buy a cable that sux, cuz i have a limited budget n stuff.

From one of my previous posts:

I have Monster running in every aspect of my guitar rig. I've invested about $250 into cables alone.

A) The clarity in my signal is well-noticed, and I am very pleased with the final product because of its contribution to my sound.

B) Monster Cable has a lifetime warranty; you could essentially chop one in half, walk into your local music store with it in hand, and walk out with a new one, no questions asked.

I'm sorry to be endorsing another product on the EBMM site, but look at my sig...EBMM is well taken care of by me also. My point is just that if you're gonna do it, do it right.

Take care!

To me, any high quality is good enough. Most of my cables are Planet Waves and they've never let me down so far. For studio work, the sound quality is of course more important than live and I think PW's sound good.

Hey there SWR_EB,
Right now I'm using Mogami and Canare cables which are made here in Vancouver(I believe...?) by the same company that makes the Radial DI boxes and many other things. The Mogami is nice but I try not to have cables longer than 15" .... not sure if that really matters but it seems to work for me. This stuff isn't as expensive as Monster cables but I think the quality is close and it's alot better than the $5 cables but with that said I think Rod's got us all beat! :D

cheers and good luck with the quest!
