I like playing in power trios for the most part.
I avoid stuff with banjos, oboes, bag pipes and dancing pixies that are paralised from the waist up.

My main axes are:
1/ Silhouette 6 string bass, strung with EB roundwounds, 'cause they're the only strings made for it? Not that I'm complaining 'cause it kicks ass as is
2/ Fender Mustang w/custom planed neck and EMG Ps. This one works nice for slap 'n' tickle, power fuzz, etc.

My rack consists of:
1/ Korg DTR100
2/ Alesis MEQ230 (scoop @200Hz, boost @50 Hz). It's also handy for tweaking presence if my strings start to crap out.
3/ Behringer autocom (gate 33 dB(A), frequency interactive, comp/limiter automatic).
4/ Art 3 way X-over (high outs @600Hz and sub out connected, only).
5/ Yorkville SR300 amp for tops.
6/ Yorkville AP1200 amp (1500W bridged) for bot.

My monitors are:
1/ 5" Logitechs for tops. These are amazingly durable plastic toys that are far superior to neoprene godzilla monster dolls with sparkler mouths, or even a GI joe with kung fu grip.
2/ 15" Mountain cab (13 ply birch) loaded with a vintage JBL K145. This one is down to it's last cone, so when I reload I'll probably gor for a 21". Nothing exceeds like excessss.

Rocket in my pocket, finger in the socket.

Does anyone play a fender?

F****r is a bad word on this site. we might mention it every now and again but we don't discuss it too much. That would be for the F****r chat board.
Welcome to the forum and enjoy your time here. :)

Hello!

I'm a bass player, but not a master... I wanted to say, that in my poor country we can play music as well! :D This country is Poland - do You know where it is? ;)

The music that I play (and listen to) is punk rock (yeeeeah!) and some stone-rock stuff.

OK, that it's for now!

See You later!

I don't think F*#@^% should be a bad word in these forums....after all the Stingray was designed by a gentleman with the last name of Fender. He was trying to improve on some of his older designs and some say he did.He also designed some other basses after he left MusicMan. I for one am thankfull that Ernie Ball kept the Stingrays going and have continued to bring out new basses. My first bass was a Pbass and I still have it- I also have a fretless version that was made in the same year( 72). One of my favourites is a re-issue of the original 51. I also have a Jazz V but must say that I spend most of my practice on my Stingray simply because it feels so good. I will be picking up a G&L in the New Year to round out my examples of Leo's creations. We should see the big picture and the evolution of Leo's vision. He changed the music when the Pbass came out in 51 - if you have ever tried to get an upright sounding good up at snaredrum levels you know exactly what I am saying.
