Can a modern EB StingRay pre-amp (2 band) be used in a 1979 Pre EB 'Ray?
Has anyone either done this or have any feedback to offer?

Greg, what am I looking at in US dollars? Can I order from the factory?

We don't sell the preamps, but it is possible to replace the preamp in a pre-EB.

Contact our repair dept. and tell them what you want to do. You will need to ship us the bass, and have the work done here. They will advise you on price as well.
