i just checked the Music Man website, and koa is listed under the available finishes. it has to be at least as rare as bigfoot, cuz of bigfoot we still have the foot prints =)

or it's a website footsie... =(

phew, that just saved me ALOT of money!

But lost you a lot of anticipation and ultimately satisfaction I bet ;)

Finally played a "regular" BFR Petrucci today, a beautifull quilted black one. Didn't even plug it in, it just sounded amazing on it's own. Resonant, very balanced and rich. Could get used to that ;). Don't even want to imagine what an actual koa would cost here though :(.

but seriously, even though the web folk are really helpful, they should've noticed something like this.

i find it way queer that not only they have the koa pic there but the text in the specs adds "Honey Bursted Koa Top - Mahogany body" between perfectly corrected weight and neck size...
