I can tell you that a round guy can be happy with flats! :D

You're right Larry. I'm perfectly happy with flats on my fretless Sterling. But on my fretted basses? Well, I'm gonna give flats another try. I expect to keep some flats on at least one of my fretted basses. Just for a variety of tone.

Oh, wait, you said round guy. ;)

The last set of Rocco sig series I got were actually RWs...I forget which brand.

BTW, that's a great DVD! I have it on VHS from a few years ago...need to update. TOP live just floors me every time!

I know that the Dean Markley Rocco Prestia signature strings I used to have were actually roundwound below about the 7th fret, and then half-rounds from the 7th fret to the bridge. An interesting design.

I've also read that he uses straigh half-round strings now.
