Help! Can i date an US SUB Ray without the Serial Sticker?

Hi all from northern Germany!

I got a pretty beaten but well playing SUB4 Ray vor little Money.
in my opinion it´s a real good Bass i like very much. Sadly theres no Sticker with the Serial anymore on
the Headstock.
Is there any Chance to date this Instrument - maybe with Numbers in the electronics?

It´s an early SUB, just with "Musicman S.U.B." on the headstock(2003 til 04?)

The first US ones came out in 2003. You could take the neck off and look for the production date stamp.
Probably the pots will tell too (unsure).

There will be a date in the neck pocket on the body. You have to remove the neck to see it.

They were offered from 2003 to 2006 but some are dated early 2007 probably to fill final orders.

If you don't want to remove the neck then the headstock logo may help:

From early 2003 to early 2004: "S.U.B." appears on the logo.

From early 2004 onwards: only "SUB" appears (no stops in between) and "BASS" appears directly underneath.
