I just played a John Patrucci model. In the middle position it sounds like a single coil guitar (out of phase?). Is this position purposely done that way or is it modified? thanks Frank
thats the default tone. it is a thin quacky type of tone. its the two innner coiles wired in parallel, which was the clean tone he would use quite often. (listen to pull me under's intro and i think you'll here it)
