So, I seem to break D strings (24w) like nobody's business. Is there a way to buy the strings in a package so I don't have to pay the single string markup?
Can you buy a "pack" of the same gauge?

I'd look at the reason you're breaking strings first. It might be a saddle that needs replacing?

"D" string is too thick to be breaking that often!! I can't even remember the last time I broke a "D"!
As Colin said earlier, better troubleshoot that problem first. I assume you're breaking them in proximity to the bridge/saddle. Check angle of saddle; smoothness of string cradle; etc. . .

I had the guitar sent back to EB and they checked it out and said everything was A-OK. It could be my playing, I don't know. I tend to always break D strings, sometimes A, but mostly D.
Maybe try a thicker pick so the force you apply lessens (I know is does not seem to make sence at first, but it really does).
If your playing a thinner pick your "strumming/picking" harder to get the volume/response you desire.
Just an idea, it's worked for a few of my customers.

Do they make picks thicker than HEAVY?
I have also tried 10's, but they also broke. I prefer the 9s, so I'll just stick with them. I might try the new strings EB is releasing, but I still have several packs of Super Slinkys. I just hate changing the whole set just because I broke a D.
