It's probably just me

But everytime I see a curly cord it reminds me of old footage of John Fogerty and CCR from the Midnight Special and Don Kirschner Rock Concert shows.

But somehow I don't think that's it :)

Heheh...

Yeah - from the new DT album - great tones! I went and changed the pickups in my 20th and got a Mark IV 1x12 combo to play through. What an awesome little amp - although I haven't quite gotten through all of the 26 pages of the manual written in small font sizes :eek::eek:!

Cool! I love that you were able to go out and get such a nice Mark IV so quickly. Congrats.:D I think I'll keep my 20th stock, though, and I'll wait for my F-1. :p

Now now, no need to rub my face in it. :D

BTW, the 20th sounds very very good with other pickups as well. I think that guitar would sound good with almost any pickups in it. Even though the ones I put in are a lot different than stock, you can certainly tell it's the same guitar - retains a lot if it's character.

WOW, I thought it was just photoshoped, glad you like it, but man the PUPS in the 20th are great and if you want a JP well just buy a JP, but that is a good job on the install, good luck:D

True - the pickups on the 20th ARE great, but so are the replacement ones I put in - and they suit what I play better. Oh don't worry, those 20th pickups aren't going anywhere. And I already have a Petrucci (am now considering a D-Sonic for it, too). Not interested in the F1 - just don't dig it that much personally. The guitar I really dug was the proto he used in the SCORE DVD. I'm as close as I can get with my 20th and the new pickups - and - I'm VERY happy with the tone!

Oh cool....Do you find the Rectifier to heavey sounding?

IMO, they are missing a mid-throatyness that I like amps to have. I also find them a little on the "fizzy/buzzy" end with the gain. Just not my deal. I like heavy - just not with all the mids scooped out. I guess I'm an old guy - I like my mids!

+1 on that. When I finally played a Recto, I really didnt like it for all the reasons you list above.
