can you tell me about the jp6 piezo ?

Hi, i am interested in buying a new guitar probally either an Ibanez Js or a jp6.
Ive never had the chance to play a jp6 because theres none around here. What i want to know about is the piezo. I know it makes it sound acoustic, but can you get a good tubey sound with a little distortion from the neck PU when the piezo is off ? How does the jp6 w/piezo sound compared to the standard?

Well, there's a 3-way switch on the piezo equipped models. It gives you Magnetic pickups, Magnetic Pickups + Piezo, and Piezo. I think you're under the impression that piezo is always on, but it's not.

It will sound just like you expect from an electric guitar with the piezo disengaged.

Yeah, go JP, the JS is nice but it is a toy compared to the JP.
