which Canadian dealers have you used for EBMM stuff - and how was it ? I have used Music Center Canada in Calgary - and had good luck - but would like to find other sources for more choice in gear.
Hi Jim, I've only ever used L&M due to financing possibilities and that they seem to have a better selection most times, the L&M in Victoria BC actually happens to have 3 Bongos in stock right now as does Avenue Guitars in Edmonton. With our dollar the way it is you might also want to look into BassNW in Seattle.
Musicstop in Eastern Canada - they have stores in NB /NFLD/ and NS.They spread the stock around so you can ask if there might be something in another store if you don't see it. My experiences are with the Halifax store and they treat me very well. I have a longterm relationship with some staff and I know they give me the best deal that they can.YMMV If a customer brings in an instrument and asks for an approximate appraisal they don't scam them.A couple of years ago an elderly lady brought in a 51 Pbass ( had been modified though) and they told her what it was and what the rough value was. There are many places that would not have done that.
You're right, a few months ago when I was out in Saint John NB there was a great looking Blue Burst SR5 that had a tiny nick or two in it and they were selling for a great price. Nice guys too.
