Candy Red/Desert Gold questions... type of finish?

Are either or both of these finishes just normal paint pigment, or are they metallic-like with flakes and whatnot.

Not too sure me and the Axis are getting along well with the Floyd, so I might be trading for a new (old stock) Silhouette in one of these colors, but I'm not too big on the super sparkley finishes.

Desert God is not sparkly. It definitely has some metallic in the paint but by no means sparkly.

I believe that all the colours have metal flakes in them for the exception of the trans/burst finishes, and black, white and electric blue. These colours are opaque.

Foggy, you are pretty much right. Rolls Burgundy was a flat color with no pearl. Most opaque colors in the EB palate have some degree of pearl to them.

Ahh ok, thanks fellas.

BUT, looks like I got the Axis workin' good now. Had a buzzing issue, but turns out it was one of those "burrs" on the floyd saddle.

All better now, and I am a happy Ernie Baller!

Yepp, Candy Red does have a pearly appearance to it...
