Off Topic Case for Aguilar DB 359

If this is against the rules, i apoligize just looking for some opinions and talk bass is well.. im sure you know...

just picked up an Aguilar DB 359 for a steal on the used market. But the size of this thing makes it hard to find a case to put it in. So heres what i'm thinking tell me if i'm crazy or if this will work.

I want to by one of the head cases they sell for the AG 500 2 space about 10 inches deep in one of their cool tolex colors. I realize my amp is about inches deeper than the case is, but i figure the 7 inches that hang out the back is the space where the the vents, fans and heat generating tubes are, so it should still vent correctly/ stay cool.

I know it might look a little funny... But i want to put it in something to make it a little easier to haul?

Would this work? Having not seen one of these cases i don;t know exactly how they work it looks like they just rack into it.

WHat are your thoughts? I may just email Aguilar directly and ask their opinion.

I know what your going thru.

I to have brought an Aguilar DB 359 (and Love IT) and had drama's casing it.

I brought a Ag 2RU gig bag and had the ass of my 359 hanging out for a while but found it was slowly damaging the power lead so.......

I ended up going to my local road case maker and had a 2RU floating case made. It is fantastic but....... fukin heavy!!! I'm Australia so I speak Metric and it is 40KG in its case now that enough to make me grab my Markbass rig most days except the 359's tone is exemplary.
There are days you just say bugger it I going to drag that heavy bastard out of the Studio and do a gig.

What I would do is get either a Gator or SKB extra deep 2 HU case. Light, strong and not expensive.

I had to have a custom made anvil case built for mine as I couldn't find any other case that fit!

Why do we put up with this oversized,heavy Aguilar stuff?
Because they make amazing amps,preamps and cabinets.
