Question - does the guitars shipped to dealers go with the case. I was told a store was trying to charge a seperate price for the EBMM case. I always thought the guitar came with the case.
Anybody got the 411 on this.....Mods?

Koogie, that's my understanding too...if a store is trying to sell a case separate from the guitar, they're trying to make a little extra coin for themselves, and you should report them to EBMM.

Of course, that's my recollection from previous discussions on this topic. And if they get their a** whooped, I wanna watch.

Back in '97 my Sil came with a case, it was included in the purchase price. I doubt that has changed

There are several threads on this topic. I know that Guitar Center was identified as selling with a gig bag, rather than the case.

Just do a search on "case" and you should find several threads.

Yeah was my understanding too. It was a local shop by me that was causing the issue. Methinks the sales guy didn't want the business that badly, because subsequently he also changed the tune of the price of the guitar about 6 times. Explains why they have only a handful in stock. It was almost as if dude coudln't be bothered.

I told you OC I was gonna ask...lol. I got both of my Pet with the case from guitar center. The one out here has treated me really well. Of course, I have drop enough $$$ there to make a 3rd world country weep! If I find someone doing the old "pay more for the case", I'll throw 'em under the bus without a hesitation! Gotta look out for the fellas/ladies.

another memeber recently had a problem with this as well. EB's prices INCLUDE a case. if they are trying to get you to pay more for a musicman case... they are screwing you. report it to EB immediately and they should be chastized ( and you'll get the case that YOU payed for) hope this helps man

I had Guitar Center try to tell me that and I was like I don't think so. Look, EB/MM ships the guitars with the cases because it protects the instruments!!

Same thing happened to a friend. The store tried to charge him extra for the case that should of been included.

I got my silo special from GC for 700 bucks without the case, I grabbed the case for a total of 800 bucks but I didnt complain becuase I got such a great deal on it, it was when they were blowing them out last year, but my axis came with a case and that was from rpyal music in merrick NY -
