Hey guys,

I've done a pretty extensive search on this forum and I can't seem to get any info on the following topic:

When did the Axis SS go back to the toggle switch pickup selector? I've recently seen a few new ones on Musician's Friend and the like.

Are the Axis with the blade (5 pos) switch now discontinued? Is the toggle model simply a 3 pos. selector? If anybody has already posted this or know where I can get the info please point me in that direction.

Sorry for my ignorance, I am new to the EB world, I have an Axis SS (serial # G09802) in metal-flake brown and i couldn't be happier with it.

Thanks for any responses

First off Welcome :) The Axis Super Sport has the 5 way switching. The Axis has the 3 way switch and Floyd Rose trem.
EBMM has not changed the switching at all.
Heres some pics for reference...

No... The Axis (floyd rose, non Super Sport) has the 3 way switch and the Axis Super Sport(vintage trem or hardtail, never floyd rose) comes with the 5 way switch. :)

hey dwells, for what it's worth....i have the Axis SS with the vintage trem, and I love the 5 way switching options and the trem stays in tune very well. The main problem that I have is the location of the 5-way....it's kind of hard to get to, but i'm getting used to it. I have a floyd model on order, too.

MM90 ASS has 3 way just because there are only 3 possible combos... Bridge Neck Neck+Bridge. :)

... one more ... you can make that middle position series instead of parallel :)

Speaking of two P-90 (or MM-90) in series, are there any known examples of this sound? I've been thinking about this mod for a while...

Also two P-90 in series but out of phase? Tried it in parallel, fun but useless...
