Hi everyone:)
Recently I bought Music Man Silhouette (HSH with Floyd Rose, 24frets) but I don't like the sound of the pickups at all.

Here are the pickups:

Seymour Duncan SH2 (neck)
DiMarzio (middle) - I don't know the model
Seymour Duncan JB4 (bridge)

Because I have never changed pickups before here is the question for you. Sorry if it's a dumb question:eek::
I would like to replace SH2 with DiMarzio AirNorton and JB4 with DiMarzio D-Sonic. Is it possible? Will everything work well after changing the pickups?
My second guitar is MM Petrucci and I love the way it sounds, but I don't like the neck, it is too thin for me. The neck in my new Silhouette is perfect. I would like my Silhouette to sound quite similar to MM Petrucci. That's why I decided to change the pickups. Please help.

Thank you for the answer in advance.

Changing the pickups won't be a problem EXCEPT that Seymour Duncan and Dimarzio color the wires differently, so make sure you follow the instructions that came with the Dimarzios. Also, make a sketch of where the wires are going BEFORE you unsolder them in case you have problems later. The silhouette has that goofy superswitch that can be a bit hard to figure out. Check out Stewart-MacDonald: Everything for building and repairing stringed instruments! for wiring diagrams if you get into trouble with it.
