My Silhouette has PAF PRO pickups installed. I love them, but i don't like the fact that my pick-up's are white, and the pole pieces black. My question is if it's possible to change the pole pieces? On these PAF PRO's the pole pieces are screw's, so i figured out to get them out, and put regular unfinished/chrome ones in.

I've not yet tried this because i'm to scared to mess up my pick-up's.

I've got news! :) A member on Dutch guitar forums contacted Dimarzio with that question. Dimarzio sell's those bolt's for 4 dollar's per set. Problem for me is that they ask 30 dollar's shipping... :(

There is a lady in the DiMarzio custom shop who is super helpful. Spoke to her one time about getting some custom pickups made and I cant sing her praises enough.

i'm sure it's possible....
if ya want to go to all the trouble to find the right size.
then i would need to re-pot the thing. sure sounds like a pain in the butt to me to fix something that is so minor.

Why would you need to repot it?

I'm pretty clueless about these things, but thought the wax was to counter air spaces in the windings.
