Hi,
Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm new to these Schaller locking tuners on my JP 7-string, and I was wondering how exactly one is supposed to change the strings on it. Are there do's and don'ts when I do it? Any help would be appreciated.

When using these locking tuners you want as little string wrap around the posts as possible. So pull the string as tightly thru the post as possible before locking the tuner. It also helps if you change one string at a time to keep string tension on the tremolo.

building on what ernie told you,

pull the string through the tuning peg and bend it 90 degrees. Tighten the lock (don't overdo it) and cut the string as close to the tuning peg as possible.

I like about half a wrap on the posts and I take all the strings off to clean the fingerboard and guitar thoroughly. I just put a folded up polish cloth under the bridge to keep it level.

Works fine for me so far, and I change strings, at the very least, once a week. ;)

Awesome! After dealing with floyds for 15 years, this is going to be a piece of cake. Or, a welcomed breath of fresh air, if you will.
