Help! Changing volume knobs on MM Petrucci

Hi, I would like to change the standard volume knobs on my guitar but I can't pull them out. I saw a video on youtube on how to do this on a les paul but was unsuccessful on my Petrucci model. I tried with a knife and with my fingers but didn't want to use too much force. There must be an easy way to pull them out.

There's a set screw beneath the rubber grommet. Remove the grommet first, then loosen the screw with a allen wrench.

Push the grommet down towards the body of the guitar. If you try pull the grommet up and over the knob it will tear.
