Kinda off topic, but it seems like every blue dawn instrument i see is a sterling, maple fretboard, non matching headstock, with a black pickguard (including mine). Is this some sort of weird coincidence or did EB just make a bunch of this model, send it out to a bunch of guitar centers (and other shops) and then discontinue the color?

It's beautiful though, and I would have a very hard time parting with mine.
